Join in for a fun run or walk at Cades Cove! There will be a 4, 8, or 11 mile run/walk option for all levels, and afterwards, you will chow down on pancakes while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Cades Cove. You will meet at sunrise at the picnic area. Bring something to share if you please, you know as well as we do how hungry runners can be!

Where: Clinch River Brewing / 2045 Norris Freeway, Norris. 

Located in the former TVA Aquatics Lab just below Norris Dam in historic Norris, TN. They have a beer garden surrounding a trout pond and also a unique upstairs taproom. At the Grand Opening there will be 9 taps of their own beer and there will be 1 cider. Chef Brandon Cruze will be cooking up some delicious food.

East TN Ghost seekers will be joining in again at Cursed Acres for two nights! They will be showing and demostrating some of the equipment they use during an investagation plus showing video footage of some of the ghostly evidence they have captured. They are fresh off an investagation at Brushy Mtn State Penitentiary and have tons of things to share. You don't want to miss this event!

Family: Can You Dig It? Archaeology and Fossil Day 

When:  Sunday, Oct. 15th, 1:30pm - 5 pm

Where:  McClung Museum / 1327 Circle Park Dr. Knoxville 

In celebration of International Archaeology Day and National Fossil Day, the McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture, University of Tennessee, and the Archaeological Institute of America, East Tennessee Society, are hosting Can You Dig It? Archaeologists and paleontologists and their graduate students from the University of Tennessee will man displays about their projects across the world, and talk with visitors about their work. Visitors can also bring artifacts, rocks, and fossils for identification. A number of activities for children, including games and take home crafts related to archaeology, will be available. All activities are free and open to the public.
